Early Bird Tickets for Evening of Impact End Soon!

Evening of Impact will welcome over 350 donors, partners, friends, and allies to celebrate our impact in the lives of survivors and our continued work to create a world free of sexual assault, abuse, and harassment. This year, RVA is honoring Tarana Burke, founder of the Me Too Movement and social justice activist, with the Dr. Natalie A. Stephens Visionary Award.

Evening of Impact includes hors d’oeuvres and food stations by Limelight Catering, an open bar, a silent auction with a wide array of experiences and prizes, and a powerful and moving program featuring former RVA client and women's mental health expert, Kelley Kitley. Our Honorary Chair, Saturday Night Live writer Katie Rich, will also share a special SNL video created exclusively for this event during the program!

Early bird tickets for Evening of Impact are only available through Sunday, April 1. Be sure to get yours before the price goes up!

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month! #SAAMChi

Throughout the month of April, we'll be holding numerous events around Chicago to break the silence and stand with survivors.

Save the date for RVA's signature SAAM event, Standing Silent Witness, on April 27 from 12-1pm at Federal Plaza. In a visual demonstration of the silencing of survivors, participants gather silently for one hour wearing t-shirts with stories and messages protesting sexual violence and rape culture. T-shirts will be provided, sizes S-4XL.

More SAAM events will be announced soon, so check our Facebook page periodically and please share all #SAAMChi events with friends, family, and colleagues who also want to take action against sexual violence!

Welcome 30 Volunteers to the RVA Family! #AdvocateMode

Thanks to our dedicated volunteer medical advocates, we're able to ensure victims receiving emergency treatment at one of our 14 partner hospitals are never alone. Our advocates provide crisis intervention counseling and medical and legal advocacy for the survivor and their significant others. RVA’s volunteer program is life-changing and life-saving, and our medical advocates exclusively serve the needs of survivors.

Interested in volunteering with us and becoming a certified rape crisis counselor? The next deadline for volunteer applications is Monday, April 2 and training runs from April 23 through June 4.
