Save the Date: Evening of Impact

Please join Rape Victim Advocates (RVA) for Evening of Impact, formerly known as Soirée in the City, on Thursday, May 24 from 6-9 pm at Morgan Manufacturing! This year, RVA is honoring activist and founder of the Me Too Movement, Tarana Burke, with the Dr. Natalie A. Stephens Visionary Award. The Visionary Award, named in honor of our founder, recognizes the work of far-sighted leaders who have made a powerful and lasting impact on the fight to end sexual violence.

Event co-chairs, Carol Stone and McKaye Whiteside, will welcome over 350 donors, partners, friends, and allies to an evening of celebrating our impact in the lives of survivors and our continued work to create a world free of sexual assault. Evening of Impact includes hors d’oeuvres, food stations, and beverages, a silent auction with a wide array of experiences and prizes, and a powerful and moving program featuring former RVA client and women's mental health expert, Kelley Kitley.

RVA's Executive Director Goes to Washington DC

Please join us in congratulating our fearless leader, Erin Walton, who was invited to join Representative Mike Quigley at the State of the Union on Tuesday, January 30! Multiple representatives will be accompanied by activists from the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements to continue the national conversation about sexual violence and make a powerful statement in support of survivors.

Erin will also join CNN's Across America with Carol Costello on Wednesday, January 31.

Upcoming Events

Join RVA for Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) 2018. Throughout the month of April, we'll be holding numerous events around Chicago to break the silence and stand with survivors, ending with Standing Silent Witness on Friday, April 27 from 12-1 pm. Stay tuned for more information!
